Observing & Nurturing
This double book explores the relationships and tensions that shape my design practice, including chaos and order, constraint and play, and macro and micro thinking. Structured to encourage random page pairings, the format uses chance and physical interaction to generate unexpected conceptual connections. Readers can engage with the books together to observe emergent relationships or individually to focus on each concept and its related projects. An accompanying dust jacket documents my ongoing thesis research through an abstract, methodology map, and taxonomy of terms, positioning the books as both archive and tool. The project frames juxtaposition as an active design method, using pairing and recombination to support reflective and flexible problem-solving.
