Event Identity
Using this identity, students designed an 11 × 17 poster to promote the event and produced a mini brand guideline outlining the core elements of their system. The project emphasized audience research, encouraging students to consider who attends these events and how visual decisions can effectively communicate to a specific audience.
Through poster design, students practiced key design fundamentals such as hierarchy, composition, balance, and visual emphasis, while also exploring illustration and expressive image-making when appropriate. This project strengthened students’ understanding of branding systems and how identity translates into clear, compelling event communication.
